Features
Dining at Lottie makes you feel like you’re on holiday. The Mexican restaurant (which sits on top of The Eve Hotel) might have inner-city views, but the polished fit-out and lush plants scream vacay. The courtyard restaurant is dusted pink, with a giant marble bar for walk-ins and travertine walls.
A share-friendly menu offers many gluten-free dishes. Standouts include roast chicken in Sinaloa marinade, a mochi-like sope made from potato topped with slow-cooked kangaroo, and goat barbacoa. Head chef Joe Valero formerly worked at Pott's Point's Tacos, Tacos, Tacos and his tortilla proficiency is clear. Here, they're available to order individually, like a side of bread, and arrive in a heat and moisture-retaining leather sleeve.
The bar has a list of options that’s full of, naturally, tequila and agave. There’s the Elote Elote, which leans into the Whiskey Sour zone, and a trio of Margs: classic, frozen or spiced.
The rooftop venue is run by Liquid & Larder (Afie’s, Bistecca, The Gidley, The Rover ).
