Features
Unpretentious and inviting, Gallon serves quality local and international wine, beer and damn good food without the small-bar price tag.
Husband-and-wife team Julian and Jarina Leitl are behind Gallon. The gradual addition of various eclectic treasures by the pair, and the verdant courtyard – called the Stables – has created an atmosphere at Gallon as warm as it is polished.
With locally sourced produce made fresh each day, Gallon’s range of pizza, salads and starters feature a modern, European influence with dishes such as a calabrese salad; Peking duck pizza; and grilled cypriot haloumi with watermelon on the side.
The Stables at Gallon was actually a stables back in 1870. It is a rare and leafy outdoor sanctuary in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Pyrmont, fit for sunny afternoons, dinner dates and after-work drinks.
