Charred Kitchen and Bar
Charred Kitchen & Bar has some serious fine-dining chops, but it’s an accessible restaurant that’s far from intimidating.
That shows in the fit-out, filled with cosy nooks, booths and warm timber tables and chairs. The menu is playful and seasonal. The Cowra lamb is a particular highlight, as is the Eggs, Eggs, Eggs – an elevated eggs benedict with two types of caviar, a perfectly oozy egg and small stacks of potato hash. There’s also a good selection of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.
Trust the sommeliers here. They’re deeply familiar with the region and the menu and won’t fail to surprise you (they could convert even the most anti-dessert-wine person into a fan) and the list is extensive.
