Borrodell Suites

Features

Borrodell Vineyard is a one-stop shop for a getaway. The entire property has expansive views over the sprawling township below. On your drive there you’ll find glorious rose bushes, vines, more than 250 hand-grafted varieties of apple in the orchards and a number of veggie gardens that supply the on-site restaurant.

Gaye Stuart-Nairne and Borry Gartrell have owned the property for more than 50 years and their love and care is evident throughout. The hospitality is warm and generous, just like the dining room equipped with multiple fireplaces to keep you cosy during the cooler months.

In addition to family cottage accommodation there’s the Cider Suites. Under-floor heating, reverse brick rendering and a fireplace keep you toasty throughout the night, and during the day you can open up the big glass doors to let the breeze in. On an even sweeter note, the green flecks in the polished concrete floors are shards of broken glass from wine bottles Stuart-Nairne and Gartrell emptied while they were building.

In the spring the cherry trees bloom among the quinces and plums. The rest of the year you’re encouraged to stroll around the property at your own leisure and pick whatever fruits you want.
