Set beneath North Bondi RSL, North Bondi Fish brings together two time-proven partnerships: celebrity chef Matt Moran and business partner Peter Sullivan, and good old-fashioned fish’n’chips. This spot is one of Bondi's most enduring venues. Given the minds behind it – not to mention the incredible vantage point from the breezy open dining room – it's not surprising in the slightest.

As you'd expect, the menu is generous and all about seafood. You might kick off with some freshly shucked oysters, followed by fried whitebait with aioli and espelette pepper. You could follow up with classic beer-battered fillets and chips, but it’s the grill section that truly sings. Moran was sure to install an Inka wood and charcoal grill to add his fiery signature to Ora King salmon, barramundi and snapper. There’s even a steak for good measure.

The beauty of this place is that it’s versatile enough for any inclination. Come for a full sit-down meal, or park yourself up on the beach-facing countertop for snacks and a Margarita from the extensive house list. There’s a fantastic view of the crashing Bondi surf just about anywhere you sit.
