No frills, no excess, no unnecessary waste. This is the idea behind Village Wholefoods, by husband and wife Paul and Suzanne Evans-Booth. Disillusioned with the wasteful practices of grocers, Suzanne left her job in the film industry to create a space that puts sustainability first.

Here, everything is sold in bulk. Customers choose exactly what products and quantities they want. And there isn’t a single plastic shopping bag inside the store. You’re encouraged to bring your own containers or choose from the recyclable bags on hand. To further reduce waste, Village Wholefoods also collects old toothbrushes, toothpaste, and their respective packaging to recycle.

The shop stocks more than 250 products, including gluten-free, paleo and vegan options. With a focus on affordability, both organic and non-organic options are available. Eco-friendly cleaning and personal care products are also available.
