Features
Sweethearts Rooftop on level four of the Potts Point Hotel feels more like a beach club than the beer garden you might expect. The space is packed with comfy settees, colourful umbrellas and specialises in light, easy-drinking cocktails.
Over the years we've seen a few different cuisines on the menu, including American barbeque and Italian. But for now Sweethearts is serving a snacky, approachable menu of Mexican dishes. There’s a tight list of tacos (birria, chicken tinga, prawn or bean), quesadillas and nachos. Add some sweet potato fries on the side, and a dulce de leche sandwich – with lime sorbet and chilli – for dessert.
On the drinks front, you’ll find a good selection of local wines and sparkling options from Australia and France. But when the sun is shining and your table is crowded with tacos, you can’t argue with a Margarita or an imported Mexican lager. This is the kind of place that's suited to long sessions in the sun with a large group of mates.
