Features
After the success of Dulcet Cakes and Sweets ’ first shop in Burwood, the owners opened a second express location in Haymarket.
The patisseries are co-owned by Vivienne Li and ex - Quay head pastry chef Juno Zhu. Their approach is applying French pastry techniques to desserts with typically Asian flavour profiles - which means nothing too sweet.
Dulcet Haywood serves fluffy, light cakes with flavours such as white peach mousse cake filled with Earl Grey panna cotta, black sticky-rice mousse cake filled with strawberry jelly and a mango and coconut sago mousse cake. Dulcet’s famous 20-layer durian crepe cake is also on display for anyone with an appreciation of the pungent, milky fruit.
Non-cake offerings include matcha soft serve and a vibrant green matcha double-cheesecake made with high-grade Marukyu-Koyamaen green-tea powder imported from Japan. All products are made in the shop’s original Burwood location.
