New and neighbourhood favourite on the Hot List
Features
This spin-off from the team behind Hot-Listed American diner-inspired cafe Happyfield serves old-school brekkie cooked on a griddle. The main difference here is a focus on takeaway, so you can get your fast-food fix without the queue, just two doors down.
Come hungry for hefty brekkie burgers, waffles and New Orleans-style beignets. Or try the Le Griddle if you’re craving a cheat meal – chicken sausage or bacon served between two maple pancakes with syrup.
At the pick-up window, you’ll find your food wrapped in foil sandwich bags, burger boxes and hashbrown sleeves, all dressed in the fun, signature graphics done by the team’s graphic designer as a nod to retro takeaway joints.
Adding to the American nostalgia is a self-serve drinks station, yellow food-court-style trays and black coffee, naturally. The courtyard seating has an indoor-outdoor vibe if you want to dine in with your pals.
