Juniper Society at The Rook

The Rook is holding a masterclass during World Class Cocktail Week, which will include botanically-inspired Tanqueray gin and Tanqueray No. Ten bespoke cocktails. Sample the cocktails while industry experts discuss the history, production and tasting notes of gin to explore what makes this spirit so unique.

Martini Masterclass at Moya’s Juniper Lounge

Spend an evening nursing four versions of the classic Dry Martini made with Tanqueray gin, while absorbing an historical masterclass on the drink. The event will cover the evolution of the cocktail since its first appearance in the early 1900s, then through the course of the 20th century. The drink menu will be accompanied by cured meats and pickles.

Tanqueray Three Ways at Bar Moncur

Stop by Bar Moncur during World Class Cocktail Week for a bespoke gin cocktail menu. Choose from three unique cocktails, each designed to bring out different nuances in the spirit. Tanqueray gin forms the base of three unique drinks – with Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic and selected botanicals; in a Dry Martini with grapefruit zest; or with Dom Benedictine, and black walnut and grapefruit bitters. Try all three cocktails for $45, or individually for $14, $20 and $45 respectively. Available all week.

Gin & vermouth Cocktail Dinner at The Cellar by Bouche

Bouche on Bouche executive chef Joachim Borenius will take over the kitchen at The Cellar to create an exclusive dinner using vermouth, matched with World Class vermouth cocktails paired with Tanqueray gin. Three different styles of light vermouth will appear in cocktails such as Manhattans and Martinis, before richer styles are served with dessert.

Cheese and Gin at Moya’s Juniper Lounge

Cheese is a welcome addition to any dining experience, whether as an aperitif accompaniment or a digestif to conclude an indulgent meal. Gin is just as versatile, be it in a Martini, rounded out in a Sour or in the classic Gin and Tonic. Head in to Moya’s Juniper Lounge for a one-off pairing of various gins and cheeses, including goat’s cheese, sheep’s milk cheese and English aged cheddar.

Bubbles & Oysters at QT Hotel

Pair fresh, locally caught oysters with QT’s version of the classic French 75. For the week, QT Hotel will offer the cocktail, made with Tanqueray gin, champagne, lemon juice and sugar, with a duo of fresh local oysters. The pairing will be available from midday each day of World Class Cocktail Week for $24, in both the Gilt Lounge and the Gowings Bar.
