Pip Edwards puts her success down to “hard work, perseverance and a whole lot of listening and learning”. After a short-lived career in risk management, Edwards worked for some of Australia’s most iconic streetwear brands; Ksubi, Sass & Bide and General Pants. In May last year she launched her own activewear label P.E Nation with co-founder Claire Tregoning at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Taken from her initials, which are coincidentally the acronym for physical education, P.E Nation is for girls on the move. The designs blur the boundary between street and sport, harking back to retro athleisure. Edwards is making it commonplace to pair bomber jackets, sports bras and brightly coloured leggings with a metallic clutch in the evening.

A Bondi local for more than 12 years, Edwards shares her favourite go-to spots in-between working on upcoming collaborations and adding denim, swimwear and accessories to the P.E Nation repertoire.

Transpose Fitness Boxing Ring
I train with Zach Vickers here once a week. It's the most picturesque location, at the very end of Ramsgate Avenue. It’s on top of the little fishing / boat ramp at Ben Buckler in North Bondi, and it's the perfect spot to punch out a good boxing session.

The Health Emporium, Bondi Road
I stop into the Health Emporium for my daily dose of goodness, in particular for a green super smoothie. I'm addicted.

Fish Bowl Poke Bar
This is a little Japanese joint where you choose your own ingredients to go into your poke bowl. It’s right on Campbell Parade, next to Woolworths. It's run by a super-cool guy, Nathan Dalah. It's fresh, it's intimate and you can eat in and listen to cool beats, or take away.

Macelleria, Campbell Parade
For the best meat in town. Not to mention the kumara fries!

Bonditony’s Burger Joint
Tony’s Burger Joint is such a cool spot to hang out, it gets afternoon sun and it has a really relaxed vibe. They do great Bloody Marys as well as “no-bun burgers” – seriously delicious.

Cali Press, Hall Street
My regular haunt for the Godfather Smoothie, it makes me feel healthy just ordering it.

General Pants Co, Gould Street
My one-stop-shop for all of my denim and street pieces.
