One of Sydney’s biggest food events, Taste of Sydney, is on again this March in Centennial Parklands. Now in its seventh year, the festival will present trendsetters in the Sydney dining scene, showcasing around 50 dishes from some of the best restaurants in the city. If you’ve got a never-ending list of places to try, Taste is the perfect opportunity to sample their wares at one event.
The first 10 restaurants taking part in the 2015 event were announced today. The first flush of names is; Frank Camorra’s MoVida Sydney; Brent Savage and Nick Hidebrandt’s trio – Bentley Monopole and Yellow; regional favourite from Bowral, Biota Dining with chef James Viles; Colin Fassnidge’s Four in Hand; and 4Fourteen with Carla Jones.
Over four days the event includes classes, talks and entertainment – and 12 restaurants in total. There’re still a couple more featured restaurants to be announced, but the list is already impressive. Each restaurant will deliver a selection of dishes that are exclusive to the festival and that represent why they are at the forefront of Sydney dining.
“We are all very excited to be part of Taste of Sydney this year. It’s going to be busy but we’re really excited to be showcasing our offerings to such an enthusiastic audience and get the chance to mingle with other influential chefs from around Sydney,” Says Brent Savage. “It’s always great when we can collaborate as a group, it really brings us closer together as a team and we always get a delicious result.”
Taste of Sydney 2015 will run from Thursday March 12–Sunday March 15 in Centennial Park, Sydney. Tickets range from $25 advance booking general entry to $134 for Gala Night Platinum Passes, with various inclusions.
