Making the most of the long weekend, Manly Wine will be reopening its doors to unveil a new look this weekend, just in time for summer. The venue has been popular with beach-side diners since the Keystone Group launched it five years ago in 2009, but never ones to stagnate, the team felt it was time for a refresh.

The relaunch on Friday October 3 comes after a three-week overhaul, and freshens up the venue with whitewash and timber creating a beachy feel, highlighting the outdoor beachfront lounge as well as a more intimate indoor cocktail lounge.

As well as the new look, the menu has had an overhaul and covers all-day dining from sun-up until well into the night. A key feature of the new menu is the all-day raw seafood bar thanks to head chef Joel Robinson (Albemarle, London and Barrenjoey House). But you will also find prawn and chorizo gumbo, wagyu burgers and Northern Rivers 150-day grain-fed, 300g rib eye on offer. The wine list is all-Australian, includes a rose wine spritzer on tap and is the handy work of award-winning sommelier, Sarah Limacher.

“We are very excited after five successful years to tide in a new chapter, and to see the maturation of Manly Wine into a sophisticated waterfront restaurant and bar,” says Keystone Group creative officer, Paul Schulte. As always, dress codes are loose this close to the sand, with bare feet and swimwear welcome.

This is just the first summer update from Keystone, with more to come at venues including The Winery and Gazebo.
