Rushcutters restaurant has launched a range of gourmet picnic hampers made for two, filled with a bounty of dishes made for eating in the open air.
The hampers, launching on February 14 and curated by executive chef Martin Boetz, will be available all year, and reflect the newly opened venue’s paddock-to-plate philosophy and will include a number of sweet and savoury items. As with the restaurant, all the produce in the hampers has been sourced directly from Boetz’ Cooks Co-Op farm in the Hawkesbury Region, just 50 kilometres from Sydney.
The set-menu hampers include items such as smoked meats with remoulade and dill pickles; a sweet onion tart with smoked speck and paprika; and chicken, tomato and cress salad with basil mayonnaise. Dessert is a decadent Rushcutters chocolate torte, guaranteed to patch up any lovers’ tiffs on Valentine’s Day or any other.
Hampers are available on an ongoing basis from February 14.
Valentine’s Day hampers serve two and must be ordered and pre-purchased by Monday February 10. For further details about ordering, contact (02) 9326 9348. Pick up is available until 6pm at Rushcutters.
