Accompanied by the scent of a 280kg cow slow roasting for two days, the sustainable, organic and biodynamically focused food and wine festival Rootstock Sydney took over Carriageworks over the weekend.

Ideas filled the building thanks to the Broadsheet Masterclass Series, while our bellies were filled thanks to MoVida Sydney's wallaby pinchos, Brickfields' focaccia, Holy Goat cheese, Cornersmith waffles, Hartsyard ribs and Mary's burgers.

Lots of natural and organic wine was drunk, and we're rather sleepy this morning. Here's looking forward to next year.
