Now is a hot time to be on the hunt for a successful Italian restaurant, it seems. Surry Hills’ Vini, sister restaurant Berta and wine bar 121BC are on the market, as well as Darlinghurst’s classic Italian, Sagra (which is unrelated to the other three). Both Sagra and Vini have appeared on the website of broker Michael Fischer & Associates.
Vini co-owner Chris Walker told Good Food the stable of restaurants is for sale.
Andrew Cibej, co-owner of the three, is opening a new venture in mid-January next year in Angel Place; perhaps a potential reason for the sale.
Asking prices of $240,000 for Vini and $325,000 for Sagra have been confirmed. All four are much-loved Italian restaurants – here’s hoping the new owner keeps them as they are.
