The Carrington re-opened in 2015 sporting a fresh face and relaxed atmosphere.
Get cosy on leather couches in The Poke; an intimate space perfect for a date, soak up the sun in the Arthur Street indoor garden bar, or enjoy a chat with one of the sociable bartenders in the Bourke Street bar.
Choose from a menu designed by Glebe Point Diner’s Alex Kearns and head chef Jon Cowan. Meals include roast pumpkin and chickpea salad with dukkah, and Hay Valley lamb shoulder served with sheep’s yoghurt, pickled zucchini and mint. Grab a juicy grass-fed cheeseburger on Tuesdays for $12.
The cocktail list is short (and sweet). It features the Raspberry Lemon Drop, Lychee Sour and Bloody Sophie with tequila, tomato juice, lime and coriander. The Carrington also offers a solid selection of affordable Australian and European wines. Beer on tap includes choices from Rocks Brewing, Stone and Wood and James Squire.
The Carrington is pooch friendly (it is Surry Hills after all). Happy hour runs from 5pm to 7pm Monday to Friday, and includes house wine and tap beers.
