After a hugely successful 2016 series, Sydney Table is back, presented by Carriageworks for Vivid Sydney with a new location and a new round up of chefs.

The string of dinners will happen over four nights in June in The Clothing Store, a new two-storey storehouse and working home for artists at Carriageworks.

Known for her savoury Sri Lankan hoppers, Carriageworks Farmers Market stallholder O Tama Carey (Lankan Filling Station) will host the first dinner.

The line-up also includes Clayton Wells (Automata) followed by James Viles (Biota). Ben Sears (Moon Park) will return to the kitchen, and we hope he is bringing his crisp, golden Korean pancakes with him.

Carriageworks Farmers Market creative director Mike McEnearney has worked alongside creative director Tony Assness to curate what they refer to as “a dinner party in the green room with your favourite chef and creative”.

The chefs will collaborate with musicians, artists and designers. Last year’s highlight was a dinner by ACME chef Mitch Orr in collaboration with dancer and choreographer Amrita Hepi, which involved theatrical dancing in between courses.

The dinners will lean heavily on seasonal produce sourced from the Carriageworks Farmers Market.

Sydney Table will be held on June 14, 15, 16 and 17 from 7pm. Tickets are on sale now.
