The Broadsheet Restaurant has a brand-new menu and the makeover includes a fresh cocktail list. The new selection has again been created by Tim Philips, owner of Bulletin Place and Dead Ringer and Diageo Reserve World Class Bartender of the Year in 2012. The bars are known for original cocktails with a focus on seasonality.

The new menu features old classics with a twist, including a Light and Stormy with Pampero Bianco rum, ginger, cucumber and soda. It’s a lighter version of the usually wintery cocktail and will be the perfect accompaniment to a long summer evening. There are also larger pitcher cocktails to share, including a Summer Gin Punch with Tanqueray gin, citrus and spiced pineapple.

Each cocktail on the list features a different spirit, so there is something for everyone. “The new cocktails are to be enjoyed before or after dinner in an aperitif/digestif style,” says Philips. “The drinks are seasoned with local fresh produce, interesting fortified wines (both local and exotic), as well as being shaken and stirred under the guidance of some of Australia’s best bartenders.”

The Broadsheet Restaurant is now running Aperitivo Hour between 4pm and 6pm every day. Cocktails are reduced to only $12, a price practically unheard of in the city. Stella Artois and sparkling wine will be $7.

The new cocktail menu will be running until December 4, so you’d better get in quick.
