Black by ezard – ‘NYE The Star, at Black by ezard’. $320pp (additional $150pp with matched wines) includes seven-course degustation by Teage Ezard, complete with views of the harbour from the restaurant.

Montpelier Public House – Casual dining room ‘Feasting Menu’ from 5pm. $65pp includes three courses. First floor dining room ‘Six course Tasting Menu’ by Matt Kemp. $120pp with matched wines.

Momofuku Seiobo – Offering a NY menu for NYE and NYD. $320pp includes champagne, 10-course tasting menu and matched beverages from executive chef David Chang and his team.


34 Degrees South, Bondi – NYE ‘Glitz and Glamour’
$200pp includes a five-hour package of unlimited drinks, and all night entertainment. NYD ‘Summer Days’. $200pp includes five unlimited drinks package from noon–5pm.

Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel ‘NYE Black and White Party’
$110pp include canapés, two-course dinner, four-hour drinks package, entertainment, DJ and views over Finger Wharf.

Sydney Opera House – ‘11.12 curated by You Only Live Once’
$695pp Sydney Opera House Boardwalk. Brought to you by Angus McDonald (Sneaky Sound System), Dan Single (ksubi) and Maurice Terzini (Icebergs), includes all food, drink entertainment and upper deck viewing of the fireworks. The Luminale Supper Club
In the Northern Foyers of the Sydney Opera House. $990pp includes ongoing canapés all evening from ARIA and Chef Matt Moran, French champagne, cabaret entertainment hosted by Paul Capsis, Marcia Hines to kick off midnight disco, and viewing of the midnight fireworks from the private balcony.

Out of town (feels like you’re out of town)

Cockatoo Island
View the NYE fireworks from a different perspective and camp out on Cockatoo Island in the middle of the harbour. $350 per camping site (BYO tent) for up to four people.

Peats Ridge Festival
From Thursday December 29 to Sunday January 1 at Glenworth Valley, NSW. Tickets for individual days or full event available. Big names include Gotye, Xavier Rudd, Salmonella Dub and Stanton. Now in its eighth year, expect organic food, workshops and fancy dress for NYE.

Field Day (New Years Day)
Ok, so it’s NYD and you’re in the CBD, but who says the party stops at midnight and you can’t feel a million miles from a care right in the city centre? Held in The Domain and now in its 12th year, highlights include Gotye, Moby, Calvin Harris and Cloud Control.
