Terminal three at Sydney Kingsford Smith, the domestic terminal exclusively operated by Qantas, is getting an overhaul in 2025 – and quite a few local restaurants and cafes are getting involved.
Fourteen new dining destinations will begin opening in late 2025, along with retailers. Here’s the full list of restaurants, bars and cafes coming soon.
Maggio’s
The family-run Italian bakery and pasticceria has been servicing Cammeray locals since 1998. And North Ryde since late 2024. In T3, there’ll be just-piped cannoli, baked ricotta cheesecakes, artful tarts and more.
Loulou Boulangerie
The French bistro and boulangerie – first from the Milsons Point, and now in the CBD too – is a winner whether you’re dining in on fine plates or grabbing something to go. But it’s known for producing some of the best croissants in Sydney, in no small part to the French butter and long fermentation.
Icebergs
The sleek Italian dining room , sitting above Bondi’s pool and beach, is a global icon. Last summer an outpost opened in the Crown, and now the airport. The menu includes tuna crostini, the spaghetti vongole that’s a signature in Bondi, and a brekkie menu.
Stitch Coffee
Stitch Coffee is a roastery responsible for some of Sydney’s best specialty coffee, roasting locally since 2015. They’re known for minimal fit-outs, signature blends and fun cream-topped coffees , too.
Rara Ramen
Owners Katie Shortland and Scott Gault are the guardians of a ramen recipe passed down from ramen masters Go-san and Hyodo-san. Their cheery Redfern and Randwick joints are go-tos for brothy tonkotsu or miso bowls. Pre-flight noods are always a good idea.
Lotus Dumpling Bar
The Lotus Group is known for its dumpling spots all over Sydney – from the CBD and Walsh Bay , across to the inner west and Double Bay. Their T3 outpost will make sure there’s time for post-flight pork and prawn siu mai, xiao long bao, pan-friend pork buns, shiitake dumplings and more.
Slim’s Quality Burgers
First pitched as Australia’s answer to In-N-Out Burger, the Marrickville-born burger joint is your ticket to quick, easy burgers with local beef, hand-cut chippies, all-out sundaes and thickshakes.
Tres Tacos
This is where to go for tacos, hefty burritos and Margs.
Azucar
Looking for fresh-fried churros, rich Latin American hot chocolates and sweets? This is the dessert bar for you.
