Did your favourite bar make it onto the list?

Sydney has again proven its bars stand up to some of the best in the world – two have placed on the World’s 50 Best Bars List.

The same two bars were on the list last year, although both have ranked slightly lower in 2016. Baxter Inn went from number six to number 12, and also won best bar in Australasia. Last year, Bulletin Place placed 28th, this year it was 46th.

Melbourne’s Brunswick Street favourite Black Pearl is still on the list at number 22, slipping from last year’s spot at number 10.

Nearby Fitzroy cocktail bar The Everleigh didn’t make the list this time despite sitting at number 25 last year.

In the top 100, Melbourne's Eau de Vie came in at 90 and Sydney's Lobo Plantation at 95.

Attaboy in New York City, run by Australian Sam Ross, came in at number five.

You can try Bulletin Place’s cocktails at the Broadsheet Restaurant , open now.
