Craft beer is infiltrating pubs, bars and bottle shops in this town at a rapid pace. From Newtown to Newport, beer drinkers are debating the merits of different hops or talking about new IPAs. Chances are you probably have a craft-beer enthusiast in your life (or are one yourself). So what do you get for the craft-beer geek who has everything?

Beer Days may have the answer. The Sydney company, founded in 2011 by Andrew Leppinus and Cameron Elliott, started by hosting boutique beer events. Now Beer Days has launched Beer Boxes, a subscription service that delivers craft beer to your work or home. Don't expect familiar labels inside the boxes, because Beer Days has selected a roster of exciting and hard-to-find ales.

The bottles chosen for the boxes change monthly, but the focus is on independent Australian breweries. Beer from Barrow Boys, Nomad, Young Henrys, Prickly Moses and Edge Brewing are regulars. International beers such as Lost Coast Indica IPA from California or the Brewdog 5am Saint from Scotland – brews you won't find down at your local Dan Murphy's – make the packages even more interesting.

Beer Days Beer Boxes can be delivered Australia-wide, and come in three sizes of eight, 12 or 16 beers. You can send or receive a one-off box, or start a monthly or quarterly subscription, which you can end at any time. Prices start from $59.95.
