If you’ve ever wondered what might happen if gyoza and mac’n’cheese had a love child, Darling Harbour’s Harajuku Gyoza Beer Stadium’s new menu item might give you some idea. For a limited time from March 5, it’s selling mac’n’cheese gyoza: macaroni-shaped dumplings filled with mac’n’cheese, drizzled with mayonnaise and sprinkled with mac’n’cheese-flavoured chips.
The special-edition gyoza is part of the diner’s Sumo Dude Food Gyoza menu, which also includes a pepperoni pizza gyoza (topped with pepperoni chips and oregano), and a buffalo chicken wing gyoza (which is made with blue-cheese sauce and celery sticks). A serve of five gyoza will set you back $10.
Two previous limited-edition favourites will also be making a comeback: a cheeseburger gyoza and a stretchy mozzarella gyoza. The specials are in addition to the eatery’s regular range of 13 gyoza, which includes classics such as pork and takoyaki (octopus balls), as well as more experimental versions of the Japanese dumpling, such as Nutella and slow-cooked pork belly with apple.
Harajuku Gyoza Beer Stadium will be serving its Sumo Dude Food Gyoza range for a limited time only.
