Sailors aren’t the only ones in need of a club to convene in. Even swimmers need to get together too. So why not make it right on the marina and downstairs from The Sailors Club?

With a French Riviera-style fit out, The Swimmers Club follows a similar coastal design aesthetic to its more opulent offering upstairs, complete with pineapple plants and palm trees. It’s a vibrant space that’s equal parts relaxing and glamorous – and it doesn’t hurt that it’s perched on a deck over the water, ensuring a sea-and-sky view, brimming with boats on the bay and the odd sea plane swooping overhead.

On the menu, even the simplest of dishes are given a lift, with half a grapefruit turned into a more interesting, caramel-topped treat. There are the more substantial and inventive breakfasts too, like a crepe suzette highlighted by a dash of bitter Campari and a spoonful of mascarpone. Brioche is grilled and topped with ricotta, honeycomb and wafer-thin, smoky bacon, or a hearty spiced mince and baked eggs number.

Lunch is concise, offering four combinations of ingredients – like confit tuna and onion or pork shoulder and fennel – which you can select to star in either a salad or sandwich. But considering that The Swimmers Club has pinched Nic Waring (the pastry chef from Sailors) to captain the kitchen, the baked goods are well worth picking up as well.

Now that this breakfast-to-lunch club is here to occupy the earlier hours, this sea shack on the bay is a true all-day affair. You can now amble from Swimmers to Sailors in just a few steps, and never have to abandon the view.
