Wonderbao pumps out steamed baos with a variety of fillings from a tiny shop in a Melbourne laneway.
Over two days the team will serve gua baos (stuffed with roast pork); Korean chicken; and Panko eggplant. There will also be kimchi, pork and cheese fries. For dessert try Messina’s mango pancakes with mango sorbet and a mountain of whipped cream – a yum-cha staple taken to new heights.
Two custom-made Chinese dessert drinks (coffee-and-coconut or lychee-and-raspberry slushie) will also be poured.
The pop-up will open in the car park of Messina’s Rosebery HQ tomorrow and Sunday. You can reserve your spot here. Food will be served from 12pm, until late or sold out.
