Maybe Frank Surry Hills Will Close Later This Month

Surry Hills pizza parlour Maybe Frank Surry Hills is slated to close on December 20, after five years of serving stellar woodfired pizza and outstanding cocktails. Its owners have chosen not to renew the diner’s lease, instead choosing to find a larger, “more prominent”, site in the area.
In the meantime, Maybe Frank Randwick will continue to smash out pizzas with crunchy bases and classic Italian toppings.
Since launching in 2015, Maybe Frank has gained popularity for not only serving excellent pizzas, but for pumping out terrific cocktails – so terrific that its bartender Andrea Gualdi was named the 2017 Diageo World Class Australian Bartender of the Year. That success in the drinks realm was translated into Vegas-inspired bar Maybe Sammy, which opened in 2019 and recently ranked 11th in the World’s 50 Best Bars list. The team is also set to launch two CBD new venues – a hotel bar and restaurant, and a cafe – in early 2021.
