What’s On Around Town 

El Primo Sanchez is launching some new specials. Come Thursday for $15 shaved ice Margs and $6 tacos. Or Sunday for $15 cocktail specials, disco bingo (with prizes) and supersized guac for $26.50.

• Bookings opened today for Single Thread’s residency at Bathers’ Pavilion in July/August. The three-michelin-starred Californian diner’s is here for a spell in late July. At the time of writing, reservations were still available online. 

• Ona Coffee, Vitasoy and Tokyo Lamington have launched a menu of coffee mocktails and oat soft serve inspired by the diverse cultural backgrounds of their team. The limited-edition drinks are available at Ona’s Marrickville cafe now. 

Ogni is serving Ramadan dinner on Sunday March 15. The modern Australian diner is serving up biryani, fritter snacks and more for $75 per person. 

Famelia is keeping up the International Women's Day momentum with a series of events in February and March – including cheese and wine-tasting with Penny’s Cheese Shop and candle-making with Provider Store.  

• Melbourne’s madeleine masters, Madeleine de Proust, are popping up at Simon Johnson’s Pastry Lab from March 20–21. They’re in cahoots with Valrhona Chocolate, which means there’ll be free chocolate tasting and hot chocolate available on the days. Pastry boxes can be pre-ordered online.

• First Look: French rotisserie reigns at the new-look Harry’s. The team behind two of Sydney’s best steak restaurants has done a major refurb at its Surry Hills pub, including a brand new first-floor bistro with menu specials (parmies, pizza, burgers) from $15.
