Chur Burger is taking its much-loved burgers to the streets with its first-ever food truck.

Former Aria and Pink Salt chef Will Love-Hill has taken over the licence from Chur owner and friend Warren Turnbull, and plans to head to suburbs such as Bankstown, Blacktown, Liverpool, Mt Druitt and Penrith. “There’s a high demand from the people out west to eat Warren’s burgers,” Love-Hill says.

He will be cruising around in the old The Burger Run truck and plans to keep the portrait of Biggie Smalls and Tupac on the side. “Oh yeah, that’s definitely staying,” he says. The truck’s first appearance will be at Lunar Markets at the end of January.

So what can we expect from the menu?

“There’ll be the classic Chur burgers such as the grilled beef with tomato jam, mustard mayo, pickles and American cheese. But each week I’ll be doing specials and changing it up a bit. I would like to create a burger for each different area but that’s all in the future.”

“Waz [Turnbull] will still be overlooking the business to ensure the quality is there but I know he has faith in my ability to uphold his standard.
