If there’s one accusation you’d never level at Harajuku Gyoza, it’s a lack of imagination.

Over the past two years the dumpling chain has given us foot-long fries, souffle pancakes and the raindrop cake.

Now comes its latest creation: the cheeseburger gyoza. And it’s more or less what it says on the box: a cheeseburger stuffed inside a gyoza.

Each dumpling is made by flame grilling grass-fed beef with aged cheddar, and combining onions, pickles, mustard and tomato sauce. Everything is then sliced and diced before being folded into gyoza and tossed into the deep fryer.

Sounds delicious, and maybe a little hot.

The cheeseburger gyoza is available now in all of Harajuku Gyoza’s Sydney stores.
