Carriageworks has announced the line-ups and dates for its Seasonal Summer Market and much-loved Twilight Christmas Market. The former will be held on December 11, while the latter will run on December 22.

The Summer Seasonal Market will host a range of Carriageworks Farmers’ markets regulars, as well as guest producers and live shows. Dural Christmas Tree Farm will be on site taking pre-orders for your tree, and you’ll also be able to pick up wine, chocolate, cheese, Christmas puddings, spices and more.

Jaimee Edwards from Cornersmith will host a live cooking demonstration, and a panel discussion between producers Matt Simmons (Melanda Park Free Range Pork), Tim Eyes (The Food Farm) and Sheridan Beaumont (Broken Bay Oyster Farm) will discuss why supporting local vendors is so integral to a great Christmas feast.

The ever-popular Twilight Market is always a sign that Christmas really is right around the corner. This year it’ll have more than 80 stalls, so you can grab everything you need for Christmas Day, all in one place. A huge variety of stallholders will be there: Archie Rose, Atomic Beer Project, Block 11 Organics, Condimental, Flour and Stone, LP’s Quality Meats, Our Festive Puds, Pepe Saya and Two Good Co.

Pick up handmade Christmas puddings and cakes; hams, poultry and seafood from small-scale local farmers and producers; vegan alternatives like meat-free roasts and plant-based cheese; flowers; and small-batch spirits, beer, cocktails and wine.

It’ll also have a range of goods for last-minute Christmas shopping: condiments and preserves; fancy olive oil, teas and pasta; cookbooks, textiles, ceramics and more. Ready-to-eat meals will also be available for munching while you shop, and the team from nearby Re– will be pouring cocktails using ingredients from the market that might otherwise go to landfill.

The Summer Seasonal Market is on December 11, 8am–1pm; the Twilight Christmas Market runs 4pm–9pm on December 22.
