BBQ King on Goulburn Street in Chinatown has been around for nearly 35 years, always satisfying late-night diners with Sydney’s best Peking duck and pork.
Earlier this week, a sign was placed at the storefront reading “Due to restaurant renovations we will unfortunately close our doors for a few short months … Thank you very much for your patronage over the years will see you very soon."
However, since then a For Lease sign has been put up, suggesting a new home for the restaurant.
Excelsior realtor Eleanor Wu confirmed to Broadsheet that BBQ King has in fact bought their own premises and will move there once renovations are completed. Though Wu was unable to confirm where they will be heading.
