After the recent success of Luke Mangan’s Sens-Asian party at MOJO on Danks Street, the restauranteur and chef is ready to host another of the warehouse-party events.

This time the theme will be brunch with a focus bacon and bubbles. The Brunch of Fun will be held on Saturday August 29 at MOJO, and just like Sens-Asian, it’s a collaboration between a handful of young food stars and the MOJO team.

“These events are all about giving more of Sydney’s underground talent, as well as new local businesses in the area, a platform,” says Mangan. “I’m looking forward to seeing all their amazing creative bacon interpretations.”

The brunch party is inspired by New York’s legendary boozy-brunch scene and will feature creations from sweets, pastry and tea stars Andy Bowden, Cuckoo Callay cafe and Tippity Tea. Returning collaborators include Katherine Sabbath, N2 Extreme Gelato and Black Star Pastry. There’ll be a quirky clutch of drinks and dishes including a smoky bacon Bloody Mary; pork katsu with miso mayonnaise; a bacon-and-egg brioche with chorizo jam; and a spit-roasted pig.

“The new additions to the Brunch of Fun team have been personal recommendations. These events are all about bringing together some of best and giving an equal leg up to everyone involved. The concept is bigger, better and a lot more fun than everyone’s individual offerings.”

The Bacon Brunch of Fun is at MOJO on Saturday August 29 from 10.30am to 3.30pm. $5 entry with food and drink from $10–$15.
