The ever-Instagrammable, viral dessert has well and truly arrived in Sydney. We’ve seen it all, from souffle pancakes to raindrop cakes and Milo dinosaurs.

And now, after winning over Perth, the latest South Korean-inspired soft serve parlour has just arrived in Sydney. The first store opened in Taipei City in 2014 and uses Korean recipes.

Honey Creme’s second Australian store has just opened on Goulburn Street, between China Town and World Square, using both traditional and modern South Korean soft serve flavours. The franchise has spread to more than nine countries and has been met with queues in each.

Prepared with locally sourced fresh milk and dense whipping cream, the soft serve ice-cream has savoury notes, leaving the sweet fix to the toppings – the signature being a chunk of natural honey comb.

You can continue the savoury theme with bacon topping, or opt for a sweet garnish with churros, macarons or fairy floss.

For an afternoon pick-me-up, try the tiramisu or affogato flavours.

And if you’re craving New York’s famous Momofuku cereal-milk soft serve, Honey Creme provides its own interpretation.

Honey Creme is now open at 20 Goulburn Street, Sydney.
