When Georgia Hobart launched Hobes in 2010, she aimed to specialise in developing basic footwear that was not only classically stylish but also comfortable. And in recognising the desert boot as a survivor of the sartorial sands of time, Hobes focuses on producing next level desert boots in a range of colours and variations (including limited-edition seasonal shades and choices of colour for your laces).

With just two short years under its belt, Hobes has 19 styles available for the ladies to choose from and 15 for the guys. Each pair of Hobes is handmade with traditional Italian techniques and only the best in natural fibres. Super lightweight at just 350g a pair, Hobes’ comfort factor is supreme.

As winter is fast approaching, a desert boot might sound seasonally out of step (even if just in name only), but 2012’s collection sees a new style introduced in the form of The Wooly Hobe, a wool-lined desert boot (otherwise known as the ‘anti-ugg’). Wooly Hobes are handmade with 100 per cent Australian lambs wool gathered from the Hobes family farm in country Victoria, which is then wrapped up in super soft suede and finished with a thin, ultra tough sole. It’s a shoe that’s ready for adventure and action with supreme comfort – and style – in mind.
