Last time there was a Josh Goot sale in Sydney (in a Waterloo studio), we were the first ones in the 8am queue of fervent shoppers with hands and wallets at the ready.
As the doors flung open it was race to the top of the stairs. You had to have your wits about you – did you want a bubble skirt, or a lightening print jacket, or perhaps some cotton jersey basics? Think fast. By 8.15am there were handfuls of girls stripping off to try on garments, often several at a time. There was no stopping the Goot fever, and gosh, do you get the fever when you’re there.
This time, however, the Josh Goot end of season sale is being held in his stylish, gallery-like Paddington store, which is ever so civilised, so there probably won’t be quite the catfight, but we can never be sure. Best you get there early tomorrow. It’s 50 per cent off his spring/summer 2011 range including show samples and shoes, and you know, people do tend to get crazy about his stuff. Not naming names, but be prepared.
