With food being a current fashion in itself, a collaboration between some of the biggest names in dining and fashion isn’t completely nonsensical. The one-week Edible Fashion exhibition at Westfield Sydney is in the final stages of planning and is set to delight your tastebuds and sense of style.

Some of Australia’s top designers and chefs have worked to weaved food into clothing. The delicious apparel is carefully crafted from an array of ingredients, including fairy floss, peppercorns, nori, pasta and more.

Curated by creative director David Grant, Edible Fashion will showcase five collaborative garments. “We have been consulting with our chefs and designers for months on this very detailed and complex project,” says Grant. “The results are going to be truly unique and unlike anything seen here in Australia before.”

The stellar line-up includes Ginger & Smart with Alessandro Pavoni from Spiedo Restaurant & Bar, Arthur Galan with John Susman from Cloudy Bay Fish Co., Leona Edmiston with David Tsirekas from Greek eatery Xanthi, One Teaspoon with Amy Chanta from Chat Thai, and M.J. Bale with Justin North from modern European restaurant Quarter Twenty One and artisan patisserie Bécasse.

We are excited to see the results of this unique series of collaborations, with two of our favourite things coming together.

Edible Fashion runs from July 5 until July 12, level 4, Westfield Sydney. Enter via corner of Castlereagh and Market Streets and take the escalator up to level 4.
