Currently in its infancy, Postcard Swimwear was born from the idea of creating things you wish existed. And for Sydneysider and Postcard Swimwear founder Ashlee Cam, that’s all about swimwear. After spending months researching and sampling suppliers and techniques, Cam’s concept allows customers to design their own swimsuits. And it is almost ready to go.

This February, Postcard Swimwear will allow you to create your own swimwear. Customers can pick from a range of styles and fits and mix and match tops and bottoms (including different sizes for each). There is also a one-piece option. Then use your own print; from a photo, artwork etc. and place it on the swimsuit using the website’s design generator. You can use a different design for the front, bottom front or back.

“You can customise everything else these days, so why not a bikini?” says Cam. With a range of base styles to choose from, Postcard Swimwear lets you upload your own original design, artwork or photo then position it on your selected style and size for a completely unique suit that arrives in the mail.

Operating solely online, it seems fitting that Postcard Swimwear’s innovative idea was born in Australia and that each swimsuit will be individually made here in Sydney, using the best quality fabrics and printing techniques.

With free shipping and a good few months of sunshine and surf left, we’ll have no reason to fear sporting the same ‘kini as anyone else again.
