One-stop beauty shop Mecca is launching its latest store this weekend at Broadway shopping centre in Glebe, in Sydney’s inner west. The Aussie-grown beauty empire is known for stocking cult beauty brands such as Urban Decay, Drunk Elephant and Hourglass, and recently added Zoë Foster Blake’s Go-To skincare products to its line-up. The store will be a combination of Mecca's Cosmetica and Maxima concepts.
To celebrate the new store, there’ll be free drinks in the morning and beauty products will be given out all day. Complimentary fragrance consultations will help you pick the perfect perfume, and there’ll be YSL lip product applications to show you what works on your pout. As well as experimenting at the make-up stations or getting guidance from Mecca’s staff about what will suit you, you’ll also be able to trial the SpectraLite Eyecare device from Dr Dennis Gross.
If you spend $85 on opening day you’ll score a gift from the Mecca Beauty Bag, with a total prize pool of more than $44,000. Plus, the first 100 people in line will get a wristband entitling them to an Urban Decay Naked Reloaded palette, redeemable with any purchase on the day.
The new Mecca Broadway will stock more than 100 highly regarded global beauty brands, including Chantecaille, Too Faced, NARS and Frédéric Malle.
When it launched in 1997, Mecca turned beauty and skincare shopping on its head with its brand-agnostic approach, stocking high-end and cult products side-by-side. CEO and founder Jo Horgan began with the simple concept of creating her ideal place to shop, and has since opened more than 90 stores in Australia and New Zealand.
Mecca Broadway will open at 9am on Saturday April 13.
