With its pretty façade and clean, minimalist interior, Loren Abood’s bloodorange boutique in Sydney’s Potts Point is a delicate mix of leading local and international brands. This is accessible luxury, where soft cashmere knits sit amongst leather shorts and tweed blazers.
Opening in 2005, the store was recently rejuvenated by way of a new fit-out, designed by Catherine Lassen and Anna Ciliberto. Lush stone flooring and soaring mirrors create an ambience that is warm and welcoming, and a touch Parisian.
With a quality not quantity philosophy, small selections of fashion-forward local brands such as Ellery, bassike and Gary Bigeni sit alongside international ‘it’ labels like Alexander Wang, A.P.C., Equipment and Acne.
Abood’s vision and effortlessly chic aesthetic define the space. Her careful buying, with an eye for subtle trends and with her local clientele in mind, has resulted in a loyal customer base. In a relatively short space of time, bloodorange has become the go-to store for magazine girls and stylists alike.
