Hair probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think “Dyson” (it’s probably vacuums) – but the British company is trying to change that.
The tech giant has opened a store in the Queen Victoria Building in the CBD that’s offering a $50 hair-styling service with some bells and whistles. The one-hour appointment includes a hair consultation, a wash, a treatment, styling, a massage and a complimentary drink.
Dyson entered the beauty market in 2016 with a hairdryer and styler set, which it’s putting on display at this Dyson Beauty Lab.
Its team of stylists will use the Supersonic hair dryer and Airwrap styler, and the service is free if you buy any of the styling tools. (You’ll also take home a gift of either a brush kit, a hair-dryer stand or a woven bag.)
The Dyson Beauty Lab is open daily at Shop 62, lower ground floor Queen Victoria Building, 455 George Street, Sydney. Appointments can be made at dyson.com.au/beautylab.
