YogaPlay takes classical music out of the concert hall and yoga practice out of the studio.
The hybrid classes pair the structured sequences of yoga with improvised violin to create a dynamic shared movement experience, which removes the invisible wall between audience and performer.
YogaPlay founder and violinist Maddy Boud is a certified yoga teacher, who has also been a full-time member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and played regularly with Sydney Symphony Orchestra. She will play over an eclectic soundscape featuring original compositions, 15th-century Spanish folk, contemporary Japanese minimalism, and more. Phoebe Carden will lead the yoga sequences.
The next event in the series is at Moore Park pop-up community hub A Sound Life Dome on March 23, from 7.30pm to 9pm.
