Yevu Summer Pop-Up
Yevu – the Ghanaian-made clothing label with a purpose – is putting on its annual summertime pop-up in Sydney, where you can check out its new summer range.
There are women’s dresses, playsuits, jumpsuits, twin sets and shirt dresses, and men’s classic shirt-and-short sets, all in Yevu’s signature limited-edition prints sourced from markets in Ghana and Togo.
All of Yevu’s garments are made by local women at its hub in Ghana’s coastal city of Accra. The artisans work in safe conditions, are paid fair wages and given ongoing training and workplace development opportunities.
Alongside the bright new summer gear, will be equally vibrant sale items and one-offs, as well as a selection of potted greenery from Leaf Supply.
In typical Yevu style, there’ll also be a big, bold launch party on Thursday December 6, from 6pm to 9pm. Guests will be greeted by Ghanaian nine piece the Karifi Ensemble, afrobeat dancers, coconut cocktails and cold beers.
