The Blue Mountains have long been both a source of inspiration and a hotbed for artists. This reputation has been consolidated by its new cultural identity, MTNS MADE. It was commissioned by the Blue Mountains Economic Enterprise to strengthen and diversify the area’s economy and, in one short year, has already proven what a positive impact galvanising your local creatives can have. New clients and investors in the area are up, as is a pattern of creative talent quitting the city to live there.

This talk presents MTNS MADE’s successful model via insight from local creatives and those involved in designing the brand. It’s geared at helping other communities tap into their potential and – apart from probably making you want to up sticks for an artists’ house on the edge of a national park – might switch on some ideas for your own suburb and local crew of creative friends.
