Upstate Five Dock x Broadsheet Access Wellness Evening

Upstate is one of the most widely loved Pilates, yoga and boxing studios in Victoria. There are 13 neon-lit studios across the state, plus one in Queensland, and all of them are 100 per cent staffed by women. This September, the iconic splash of yellow is crossing state borders. Upstate is opening its first Sydney studio in Five Dock.

But before Upstate Five Dock opens to the public, Broadsheet Access members can try it first on September 18. It’s the latest members-only wellness experience we’re bringing to our Sydney community, and it’ll be completely free. Your first look at Upstate Five Dock will start at 6pm with a sweaty Pilates class in the slick new space, followed by the opportunity to explore, mingle and enjoy snacks from Health Lab and refreshments from H2coco. As always, there’ll be no shortage of goodies – you’ll take home party favours from a stack of partnered brands, inclding Upstate Sport, Bronte, Lvl Up, No7 and OPI. The cherry on top? Every member in attendance scores a free 30-day membership to the new studio.

Otherwise, Upstate Five Dock opens to the public on September 20. Unlike its Victorian counterparts, the focus here is almost solely on Pilates. The class schedule will include mat classes in a heated space – like hot Pilates strength, hot Pilates burn and hot power flow – plus reformer Pilates. And you can catch warm yin and sound bath meditation classes, too.
