To celebrate its upcoming 10-year anniversary, Three Blue Ducks is putting on a one-night-only alumni dinner at its Rosebery location with guest chefs including Michael Clift (ex-Rockpool), Jemma Whiteman (Cafe Paci) and Shannon Debreceny (Victor Churchill).
Since launching its first beachside cafe-restaurant in Bronte in 2010, Three Blue Ducks (which is run by six surf-loving mates) has opened spin-offs in Byron Bay, Rosebery, Brisbane and Melbourne.
This special four-course feast, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Wednesday September 23, will be prepped by the Three Blue Ducks crew, past and present, and show off the sustainable, local-first approach that ties all its outposts together.
The dinner is $95 per person and included a welcome drink on arrival, with sparkling wine courtesy of Cape Jaffa and Young Henrys brews.
From Monday September 21 to Sunday September 27, the Bronte location will also be serving a “time capsule” menu, revisiting old-school Three Blue Ducks hits such as bacon-and-egg rolls made with pimento salsa and hollandaise sauce; calamari with smoked corn, dashi jelly and chawanmushi custard (Japanese egg custard), twice-cooked chilli-jam duck with spicy Chinese broccolini and a herb salad; and smoked potato ice-cream with chocolate cookie and sweet lime granita.
Walk-ins are welcome and guests on Friday and Saturday will get a complimentary glass of Captain Jaffa sparkling wine.
