Hyde Park will once again be transformed into a bustling Asian-style hawker food market for the annual Sydney Night Noodle Markets.

Forty food stalls will serve Asia’s best street food at Hyde Park, accompanied by live music and DJs.

Expect vendors such as York Street’s Mr Bao, burger joint Chur Burger, Thai hotspot Chat Thai, Bangkok Street Food, Teppanyaki Noodle and Chinese Dim Sum King just to name a few.

This year's festival will feature Lucky 3 Asian Eating House, a pop-up restaurant within the market featuring guest restaurants. First up is Neil Perry’s Spice Temple (October 4 to 9), followed by Haymarket favourite Mamak(October 10 to 15) and 2017 Masterchef winner Diana Chan's modern Malaysian Chanteen (October 16 to 21). Each guest eatery will complete a six-night stint during the markets.

On the drinks front, South Australian winery Brand's Laira will host a pop-up cellar door featuring drops from its Coonawarra label; James Squire will be pouring its craft beers; and guests can celebrate spring with a fruity punch at the Pimm's Garden Bar. For the first time there will also be a kombucha bar – it's offering bottomless serves of the fermented brew on the house, thanks to Amplify kombucha.

Newtown patisserie Black Star Pastry, nitrogen-meets-gelato joint N2 Extreme Gelato and much-loved doughnut stall Donut Papi will be taking care of dessert.

As will market regulars Gelato Messina, which has taken dessert inspiration from the Phillipines. From its giant rainbow jeepney stall it'll be serving gelato interpretations of traditional Filipino desserts, such as an ice-cream-sandwich spin on the Brazo de Mercedes jelly roll; and the "'Allo 'Allo!", a reimagining of the crushed-iced dessert halu-halo with dulce de leche gelato and toasted milk crumb.

Entry is free, and market stalls are cashless. The markets are open weekdays from 5pm, and on weekends from 4pm.
