The iconic queer festival is back, along with the annual Parade, Party and Laugh Out Proud. Plus, a Bondi Beach party, a laneway street celebration, a vogue ball and more.

The 2024 Mardi Gras is going to be huge (and fabulous). The annual celebration of Sydney’s LGBTQIA+ community is bringing back old favourites and introducing a host of new festivities to the city.

This year Laugh Out Proud is back, showcasing rising queer comedians from around the country, including Bob Downe, Eli Matthewson and Aurelia St Clair.

Bondi Beach will once again play host to a massive party. Enjoy local and international DJs against the iconic shores. On the lineup: Sophie Eliis-Bextor, Slayyter, Lagoon Femshayma and more. Afterwards head to the Sissy Ball for an extravagent night of voguing.

On the biggest night of the Mardi Gras calendar – Parade night – there’s a plethora of options to keep revellers satisfied. Watch more than 200 floats make their way down Oxford and Flinders streets.

Queer Art After Hours features performances, installations, stories, music and gallery tours in the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and over at Paddington Townn Hall, celebrate 60 years of queer nightclub Pollys at the Diamond Dance.

The festival will end with the much-loved Laneway celebration on March 3, a street party that takes over The Beresford and Hill Street in Surry Hills with multiple dance floors, local DJs and pop-up performances.
