Sydney Dance Company: Indance at Neilson Studio

Following sold-out performances in 2022 and 2023, Sydney Dance Company’s Indance program returns in 2024 with four independent choreographers and creatives taking centrestage. Curated by a panel led by artistic director Rafael Bonachela, the popular series gives artists the opportunity to reach new audiences through two compelling double-header performances.

Supported by the Neilson Foundation, Indance has garnered a reputation for pushing the boundaries of contemporary Australian dance. From August 15 to 17, catch Sarah Aiken’s Make Your Life Count and Harrison Ritchie-Jones’s Cuddle. The following weekend, from August 22 to 24, see Kristina Chan’s Brightness and Ashleigh Musk’s Sub.

Single-performance tickets are available, or you can mix and match performances across both weeks. (Hot tip: The more performances you book, the more you’ll save per ticket.) Over the two weekends, Sydney Dance Company also presents free artist talks with the choreographers on Friday evenings at 9pm.
