Six weeks of racing, fashion, food and entertainment take over Rosehill Gardens and Royal Randwick this autumn.

It’s that time of year again, when we bid farewell to the heat of summer and say hello to autumn – and its slate of races. With a packed calendar of events, this year’s Autumn Racing Carnival kicks off with Chandon Ladies Day on Saturday March 16 at Rosehill Gardens. Here, Australia’s finest fillies and mares compete while punters and spectators don a touch of pink for the anticipated annual race day. The afternoon culminates in the Pink Fashion Lunch, a fundraiser for the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation.

Also at Rosehill Gardens is the $5 million TAB Golden Slipper Day on Saturday March 23, with live music, food and plenty of bubbles – as well as five races. On Saturday March 30 it’s all about Stakes Day, with entertainment for the whole family while the Kia Tancred Stakes and Vinery Stud Stakes close out Rosehill Gardens’ autumn racing calendar. In April the action shifts to Royal Randwick with The Star Championships happening over two weekends on Saturday April 6 and 13 – don’t forget to don your best black-and-white attire on the 6th, while keeping your best royal blue outfit for the 13th. Finally, on Saturday April 20, the Schweppes All Aged Stakes Day closes out the Autumn Racing Carnival calendar.

Of course, the Autumn Racing Carnival is about so much more than just the races: there’ll be plenty of fashion, live entertainment, pop-up bars and premium dining experiences, too. The After the Last concert series keeps the party going after the races end each day with live music and performances at night, including several Hot Dub Time Machine shows. Fashion-forward racegoers can also visit the Pamper Pavilion, a space where stylists will be on hand to offer makeup and hair touch-ups throughout the day.
